Alpinia zerumbet variegata 250mm 'Shell Ginger'

An Australian native, 'Shell Ginger' with strapped green and gold foliage. 
Ideal for a bright-indirect light position, occasional dappled sun for bright leaves. 
A regular watering schedule is great for this plant, moist soil but not soggy. Finger test prior to watering will save you from drowning your Alpinia zerumbet. 
High humidity is required, otherwise the tips and edges of the foliage will present brown and crunchy. Fortnightly feeding throughout growing periods (spring-summer), hold off feeding during colder months. 
Prune off dying fronds, usually situated at the bottom of the plant so it can focus its energy to pushing out new foliage.
