The Ficus lyrata also known as the Fiddle Leaf Fig is known for it's large fiddle-shaped foliage. It can grow to be 2.4m at full maturity, making it a great statement plant for your house. This fussy house plant is known to drop its leaves whenever it's moved or doesn't receive enough water. It'll show signs of irregular watering in it's leaves, often mistaken for rust. The Ficus lyrata is ideally left in a bright well lit area with high humidity. Checking the soil before watering will prevent your tree from becoming water logged.
Care level: Hard
Watering: Allow to dry between waterings, approximately once fortnightly- three weekly through cooler months and weekly- fortnightly during summer.
Light: Requires bright indirect light, with direct morning sun.
