These beautiful perennials are toxic to animals and people, so be sure to wash your hands if you get some sap on your hands. Philodendrons with variegation require higher light but those with velvety, more delicate leaves do just find in partial sunlight. A north-east or northern window will be it’s ideal home. A lot of Philodendrons can also live outdoors, usually found in the understory of a forest, they love a bit of shade throughout the day. There are different kinds of Philodendrons i.e. ones that enjoy climbing and ones that creep. To encourage large mature leaves, giving your Philodendron some support will easily boost its vigour.
Care level: Easy
Watering: Allow to dry between waterings, approximately once fortnightly through cooler months and weekly during summer.
Light: Prefer bright indirect light, with direct morning sun. Also tolerant of medium light levels.
