A tuberous perennial that makes a fantastic house-plant. As the colder months, this plant does go into a state of dormancy (may drop leaves, prune back if required). Hold back on watering these on a regular basis, bottom watering is highly suggested for these tuberous plants as they are prone to root-rot. Bright indirect light is required to keep these plants growing tall and healthy, ideally 1m away from your brightest window. Strictly no direct light as it will burn the delicate foliage. Having the right potting medium is crucial for all Alocasias, as it hates being water bogged but require a high level of moisture in the soil. Finger test before you water it! Fertilise with a diluted water soluable fertiliser that's higher in nitrogen, strictly in growing seasons.
